This site and the Darkroom software are published on a non-professional basis by an individual, the author of Darkroom. As allowed by article 1-1 of the French law no. 2004-575 of 21 June 2004 on confidence in the digital economy, the author's contact details have been given to the host and are not published here.

This site¶
The site uses no cookies, no audience measurement and no content loaded from another site: its fonts are served by the site itself. Your browser only remembers, on your computer, the light or dark theme you choose. Like any web server, the host records visitors' IP addresses in its logs.
The Support Darkroom on Ko-fi button is a plain link: Ko-fi is only contacted if you follow it, and its own terms then apply.
The application¶
Darkroom sends neither your photos nor any data about your use: all development and AI run on your computer. Its only Internet connection is the update check, on gitlab.com, which then sees the computer's IP address. It can be turned off in the Help menu (Check for Updates at Startup box).
To get your license (free during the beta), you send by e-mail your computer's identifier (a computed code that reveals nothing else), your name and your e-mail address. They are used only to create your license and to be able to send it to you again, are shared with no one, and are deleted on request at the contact address. Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you can access them, have them corrected or deleted by writing to that address, and lodge a complaint with the CNIL (French data protection authority) if needed.
Darkroom's license¶
Darkroom is free of charge during its beta-test phase. Its terms of use (no warranty, liability, rights to the RAW decoding library…) are detailed in Licenses.
Trademarks¶
Adobe, Adobe Camera Raw, Adobe Color, Adobe DNG Converter, Adobe RGB (1998), Lightroom and Photoshop are either registered trademarks or trademarks of Adobe in the United States and/or other countries. Capture One, DxO PhotoLab and darktable are trademarks of their respective owners. Other software, camera and brand names mentioned belong to their respective owners.
Darkroom is independent software, neither affiliated with nor endorsed by these publishers. The workspaces made for users of other software only follow their general organization and shortcuts; no code, logo, icon or font from that software is used.
This product includes DNG technology under license by Adobe.
